The palace Ciprianis is situated on the corner of the town’s main square and is one of the most remarkable gothic palaces in Split which leans on the wall of the Iron gates of the Diocletian’s palace.
The palace Ciprianis was built in the 14th century by an aristocrat from the island of Korčula and is under UNESCO’s protection.
A part of the palace Ciprianis itself is conjoined with the building attached to the Iron gates into one structure. Therefore a part of the apartment is about 700 years old while the other part is even over 1700 years old!
The palace Ciprianis is characterized for its hexaforas, six-part windows on the first floor separated by double columns, as well for a chiselled sculpture of Saint Anthony of Padua on the exterior wall of the palace which makes it a one of a kind building.
The apartment inside the palace Ciprianis has an incredible position in the Diocletian’s palace. As mentioned it’s situated on the corner of the town’s main square with a spectacular view over it.

Also after a few minutes’ walk from the apartment you can find the local market “Pazar” (you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables there), Riva where you can watch the sea and look at the sunset while drinking or eating on one of the most iconic places in Split, the most popular beaches where all the locals go.
The nightlife can be experienced nearby in different cafes or clubs for everyone. If you’re the more peaceful and quiet type you can enjoy your time in different close by parks or Marjan, a hill on the peninsula of the city of Split which is covered in a dense Mediterranean pine forest and completely surrounded by the city and the sea, making it a unique sight.
Just below the apartment, you can find some fine restaurants. Nearby there are a few grocery stores. All the buses, trains and ferries are close by so you can reach any part of the city in no time
