Location of the Villa

Villa Blanka is a traditional Dalmatian stone villa with a pool located in Split. The villa is quietly tucked away in a small village called Žrnovnica which is located about 8 km south east from the urban centre of Split. Žrnovnica is named after the river that flows through the village and exits near Podstrana.

The village is perfect for escaping the busy urban lifestyle and immersing yourself into the peaceful and serene surrounding with clear blue sky, fresh air, flowing river and picturesque mountains and hills that are shrouded in dense pine trees and shrubs. You can go walking or running by the river, horse riding or hiking to the mountain.

The village features a few great attractions such as the Žrnovnica River and Stone Quarry which served as filming sights for the TV show “Game of Thrones” and traditional water mills which have been meticulously restored and are a sight to be seen. Some of these stone mills are being currently used as nice-looking traditional restaurants which serve traditional Croatian and Dalmatian food with nice views of the river.

The best and nearest beaches are 5 km away in Podstrana. All beaches are covered with small pebbles and provide easy access to the sea. On the beaches, you may find many bars and restaurants where you can relax and have a meal while spending time at the sea. You can also try different water activities such as swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, rowing, sailing and windsurfing.

However, while you are staying in Žrnovnica, it would be a shame not to visit Split. Split is the largest city in Dalmatia and the second largest city in Croatia.

This vibrant and crazy city is the perfect place for travellers of different ages, tastes and interests. Located in a unique setting, Split offers the right balance of everything to do and more, including visiting ancient and historical attractions (e.g. Diocletian’s Palace, Cathedral of St. Domnius, Peristyle and the Diocletian’s Cellars); sitting at one of the dozens bars and restaurants available in the old town centre; on Riva or the Western bank; spending some time on the most popular beaches such as Bačvice or Kaštelet and enjoying the busy nightlife in Split from listening to live music on the open-air to bopping to the rhythm and beat of the most popular disco and night clubs in city.

Villa Blanka is a 3-bedroom traditional Dalmatian stone villa with a pool. Each bedroom comes with a double bed and access to its own balcony. It accommodates 6+2 people.

The villa is quietly tucked away in Žrnovnica, sitting on a little steep hill. It provides the perfect place to escape the busy urban lifestyle and immerse yourself into the peaceful and serene surrounding with clear blue sky, fresh air, flowing river and picturesque mountains.

The greatest feature of the villa is the beautiful private outdoor space which is located downstairs and has a sparkling blue pool, beautiful stone paved garden with wonderful plants and sitting area and a covered patio with an outdoor dining area and barbecue/pizza oven. From the pool and garden, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valley, the river and the sea. Just imagine, taking a swim in the refreshing blue haven pool, sunbathing on the lounge chairs by the pool and watching the beautiful views while having barbecues on the patio.

Inside, the villa has a kitchen, dining area, living room, terrace and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is a fully-equipped kitchen with a stovetop, oven, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and all the needed dishware and cutlery. Next to the kitchen, there is a dining area with a dining table and chairs. In the living room, there is a lovely stone fireplace with comfortable leather sofas. Both bathrooms are nicely designed where the bathroom comes with a bathtub while the second bathroom comes with a shower.

Outside of the villa, there is a spacious terrace which is covered with vine trees and features wonderful views of the surrounding area and the sea. On the terrace, there is an outdoor table, chairs, hammock where guests can sit, relax and dine during the evenings while watching the beautiful views.

Villa Blanka is situated in Žrnovnica which is located about 8 km south east from the urban centre of Split. The villa has a garage and open parking space right on the premises.

It is recommended to have a car when coming to the apartment. However, there is public transportation available in Žrnovnica such as a bus or taxi. The nearest bus stop is located just a 5-minute walk from the villa. There is only one bus line which goes from Žrnovnica to Split or Omiš: bus number 27. You can also take a taxi which will take you any way you want to, for instance, Split, Omiš, train station, ferry port or airport.
